Touqeer Ahmad recently joined the Department of Mathematics at UiO as a postdoctoral research fellow under the DSTrain–MSCA program. His project will focus on the stochastic modelling of natural processes. Before that, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Institut Denis Poisson, Université d’Orléans, France, from May 2025 to October 2025. There, he worked on the missing data problem in high-dimensional environmental time series as part of the JUNON project. Prior to that, he also held a postdoctoral position at ENSAI, France, from May 2023 to April 2025, where he worked on machine learning and data mining of extreme values in massive data under a prestigious Région Bretagne research grant. He earned a PhD in statistics with the Doctor Europaeus Label in June 2023 from the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Padova, Italy. His doctoral research focused on the modeling of discrete extreme values.

Lars-Anders Carlson is an associate professor at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Umeå University. His main research interest lies in the drastic rearrangements of host-cell membranes that positive-sense RNA viruses carry out within hours of entering a cell.

Harsh Mathur, Rosseland Centre for Solar Physics, University of Oslo.

Ambre Bouillant is a CNRS researcher, interested in phenomena that lie at the frontier between phase transitions, interfacial phenomena, and viscoelasticity. Her previous researches, mainly experimental, were focusing on the Leidenfrost effect, thermo-capillary stabilisation of thin films, the coalescence of viscoelastic droplets, and the condensation of vapours on deformable surfaces.

Jonas Wallin is an Associate Professor of statistics in the Department of Statistics at Lund University in Sweden. He is a mathematical statistician working with spatial statistics, Gaussian processes, optimisation and high dimensional regularisation. 

PhD candidate Laurent Fontaine at the Department of Biosciences, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is defending the thesis 'Statistical Analysis and Modeling of Microbial Communities in Aquatic Ecosystems' for the degree of PhD.

Lorenzo Olivo Filippini is a student in the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (PROMEC), working as a researcher in the areas of fluid mechanics, non-Newtonian fluid flows and free surface flows at the Laboratory of Rheology and Non-Newtonian Fluid Flows (ReoSul).

Guilherme Henrique Fiorot is a researcher in the field of Fluid Mechanics and an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He develops research in the theoretical, numerical and experimental aspects in complex fluid flows, whether with free surface or through porous media, especially those related to natural flows.

Jisoo Yuk is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematics, University of Oslo. Her research interests broadly lie in interdisciplinary research and open to exploring diverse topics across soft matter, biophysics, and bio-inspired systems
