Lucie Degott joined PHAB in September 2026, as a postdoctoral candidate. She is mentored by Konstantin Herbst.

Micaela Bellante is a visiting PhD researcher from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, who joined PHAB in September 2026 to be supervised for three months by Leandro Gallo and Mat Domeier.

Gabriel Endrizzi joins PHAB as a visiting PhD researcher from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, working with Prof. Mat Domeier. 

Sacha Gavino has joined PHAB as a postdoctoral fellow in September 2026.

Miriam Varding has joined PHAB as a PhD Research Fellow in September 2026.

Christopher Jones has joined PHAB as a new doctoral student working on the late Ediacaran. He will be supervised by associate professor Mat Domeier and professor Lee Hsiang Liow.

Björn Heyn has been a researcher at both CEED and PHAB, and now he returned in August 2026 with his own project “DEFORM – DEFlection Of the core-mantle boundary Reorganizes Mantle flow”.

Pavel Doubrovine, who has previously been a researcher both at CEED and PHAB, returned to PHAB in May 2026. Over the next three years, he will work as a researcher in the GOE-PHAB project (The Great Oxygenation Event and Planetary Habitability), lead by co-director Trond Helge Torsvik.

João Fontoura joins PHAB as a guest researcher on Mat Domeier's ERC project EPIC. He will be staying at PHAB from June 2026 to December 2026.

Leon Sereinig joined PHAB as a PhD candidate in May 2026. He is contributing to the GREP project (Galactic Recipe for Exo-Planets), lead by PI and center leader Stephanie Werner.

Yutong Shi (史语桐) joined PHAB as a postdoctoral fellow in March 2026. 

Timmu Kreitsmann is joining PHAB as a postdoctoral researcher for a three-year appointment associated with GOE-PHAB, from February 16, 2026.

Hedda Susanne Molland is temporary administrative leader for PHAB, Centre for Planetary Habitability, in 2026, while Trine Sannesmoen is on leave.

Li Zeng is a Researcher who joined PHAB in January 2026. 

Wanlong Xu is a visiting postdoctoral research fellow who joined PHAB in November 2025.

Hannah Sanderson joined PHAB as a postdoctoral fellow in November 2025. At PHAB, Hannah will study the dynamics of metal-silicate separation in magma oceans and explore its effects on mantle redox evolution and magnetic field generation.

Dag Evensberget is a postdoctoral fellow who joined PHAB in October 2025. At PHAB, Dag will study the interaction between stellar winds, high-energy particles, and (exo)planetary atmospheres.

Eivind Straume joined PHAB as a postdoctoral researcher in October 2025. He works on paleogeographic reconstructions for the Phanerozoic (540 Ma–present), aiming to link solid Earth changes to oceanographic and climatic variations, as well as biological evolution and Earth habitability through geological time.

Nidarsana Thanapalasingam is an engineering intern joining us from École d’Ingénieurs Denis Diderot – Université Paris Cité

Yajie Zhao is a visiting post-doc who joined PHAB in April 2025.

Vincent joined PHAB in April 2025. He will be working on linking geochemistry with atmospheric chemistry and spectroscopy.

Nicole Obren is a Doctoral Research Fellow who joined PHAB in January 2025.

Fanglu Luo from Sun Yat-sen University is a visiting PhD candidate at PHAB and will stay here for one year.

Konstantin, our new Associate Professor of Planetary Sciences, joined the PHAB Center at the beginning of this year.

Marine is a postdoctoral research fellow who joined PHAB in July 2024.
